Great wee place. Fantastic value breakfast freshly cooked with quality ingredients . Not fancy but then again I want good food not fine dining!! Give it a go!

Newmans was a bland experience. While from the outside it looks attractive and the fact it does traditional British food, does entice you into coming in as it did me, the overall experience wasn't great.
The service in the Restaurant was good. Nice friendly people and greeted with a smile. However I would describe the atmosphere as "God's waiting room" as the average age must of been 70. Once the food was ordered it only took ten minutes to arrive at your table which was a positive.
Saying that I would of preferred them to spend a little time on the food as the food was incredibly bland and tasteless. The way I would describe the food would be rushed home food so yourself could probably do a better job! I had the mussels there and they were boring and the sauce it was just tomato.
Overall the restaurant is pretty and has nice staff but the food isn't special. While the food is edible it's not something I'll probably ever come back to have again. -

Good traditional british and continental food at a decent price. Not trendy or modern, but it's clean and comfortable and the food is tasty, especially the desserts and cream teas.
A good place to eat if you're in need of a hearty meal but on a low budget.
